Other data collected that can identify you directly or indirectly.
Our Privacy Policy aims to describe how and what data is collected, and the ways and reasons why we use your personal data. It also describes the options available to access, update or take control of your personal data that we process.
If at any time you have questions about our practices or any of your rights described below, please contact us at data@internationalcar.pt.
We collect information to deliver the best possible experience when using our Services. Much of it is obtained directly when you:
purchase any of our services or register on our website (e.g., payment information including name, address, credit card number, identification document);
request assistance from our customer support team (e.g., telephone number);
complete contact forms or request to receive newsletters or other information (e.g., email); or
take part in contests and surveys, apply for a job, or participate in other activities promoted by Drive4Move®, in which information may be requested.
We also collect additional information while providing our Services to ensure the necessary and optimal performance. These collection methods may not be as obvious to the user, so below we explain in more detail what they may be (as they may vary from time to time) and how they work:
Account information is collected in connection with your use of our Services, such as account numbers, rentals, information requests and customer support requests, and notes or details that explain what you requested and how we responded.
Cookies and similar technologies on our website allow us to monitor your browsing behaviour, links clicked, vehicles chosen, device type and also collect various data, including statistics on how you use and interact with our Services. This enables us to offer more relevant product promotions, a better experience on our website and to collect, analyse and improve the performance of our Services. We may also collect your location (IP address) so that we can personalise our Services. For additional information and to learn how to manage the technologies we use, please visit our Cookies Policy.
Service usage data is collected automatically when you use and interact with our Services, including metadata, log files, device/cookie IDs and location information. This includes specific data about your interactions with features, content and links (including third-party social media plugins) within the Services, Internet Protocol (IP) address, browser type and settings, the date and time the Services were used, browser configuration information and plugins, language preferences and cookie data, information about devices that access the Services, including device type, operating system used, device settings, application IDs, unique device identifiers, error data and—once collected—some of these data may be used to determine your approximate location.
We may receive Additional User Data from other sources, namely from public databases or third parties from whom we purchase data, and combine them with information we already have about you. This helps us update, expand and analyse our records, identify new customers and provide products and services that may be of interest to you. If you provide us with third-party personal information or if third parties provide us with information about you, we will use such information solely for the purpose for which it was provided.
We strongly believe in minimising the data collected and limiting its use and purpose to: (1) that for which we have obtained authorisation, (2) that which is necessary to provide the Services purchased or with which you interact, or (3) that which is required or permitted for legal compliance or other lawful purposes. These uses include:
Providing, improving, updating and developing the Services we offer. We collect various information related to your purchase, use and/or interaction with our Services.
We use this information to:
Improve and optimise the operation and performance of our Services (including our websites)
Diagnose problems and identify any risks, errors or necessary security improvements for the Services
Detect and prevent fraud and abuse of our Services and systems
Compile aggregated statistics on the use of the Services
Understand and analyse how you use our Services and which are most relevant to you.
Much of the data collected is statistical or aggregated about how people use our Services and is not linked to any personal data; however, where it is considered personal data, or is linked or can be linked to personal data, we treat it accordingly.
We may share your personal data with affiliates within our business group, with third parties with whom we have partnerships to enable them to integrate their services into our own Services, and with trusted third-party service providers to perform services on your behalf, such as:

required by law, contract or similar obligations applicable to our business operations;
to preserve, resolve, defend or enforce our legal/contractual rights; or
